LinkedIn posts for DisruptHR Tucson/Phoenix
In July of 2024, I started doing some work on the side for the local DisruptHR chapter. The plan was for me to help them develop their brand's voice, and I was to start off by writing posts promoting the group's upcoming event. But no sooner had I started working for them than SHRM's president and CEO Johnny Taylor came out with the big announcement that they would be dropping the "Equity" from their DEI initiative and changing its name to "I&D."
This caused quite the social storm, and the team who leads DisruptHR Tucson/Phoenix wanted to post a response. This was a fantastic opportunity for me to give them a nice chunk of "voice" to digest and react to. I offered three different approaches, and was thrilled when they quickly chose the boldest of the three (my personal favorite). Click thumbnail to enlarge. |
More SHRM headlines in August of 2024, this time about their official position on the non-compete ruling. This time around, I knew the DisruptHR Phoenix/Tucson crew was going to want to respond. I wrote this post, messaged my contacts and the next thing I knew, it was up!

LinkedIn posts for fintech company
For Hawk Incentives, I submitted four posts per week to LinkedIn. Prior to posting, I would go through the company's most recent research to pull statistics (and a few quotes) that spoke to our current desired positioning, and worked with our graphic designer to create images that featured the stat/quote. I wrote an accompanying intro blurb and created a trackable link for each one as I posted it. The following are a few examples.
LinkedIn posts for AppointmentPlus
Paid LinkedIn posts written for AppointmentPlus, linking to the blog series I wrote on customer self-service. You can see the blog series here.
These social media posts promoted other blog posts that I wrote during my tenure with AP. The goal was to capture the attention of our various target audiences and drive them to the website. |

The post with the image of the bee was one of two of our posts that ranked among LinkedIn's top-performing posts in North America. According to our LinkedIn account rep, the posts had roughly a .9% click-through rate, which was three times the platform benchmark.
CEO response to Glassdoor postA former employee left a negative company review on Glassdoor. Since the company was fairly small and the CEO had started it on his own, the post hit a little close to home for him. Unfortunately, he posted a response immediately upon reading the review.
When I saw the post, I knew that a slight rework could make a big difference in how the post would be read. I presented him with my rewrite and he agreed, replacing the post. Due to the sensitive nature of the post, this page is password-protected. Please email me to request a password. |
LinkedIn Showcase Pages for Hawk Incentives
Hawk Incentives (formerly Parago) is a global provider of rebate and incentive programs, in both the consumer and channel spaces. As part of an ongoing effort to maintain the company's position as a thought leader, the Marketing team was asked to create a set of Showcase pages for use on LinkedIn. As of July 2014, the company had launched one each for Shopper Marketing Insights and Consumer Promotions.
Facebook posts for 1-800Accountant
1-800Accountant customer responseThis post shows my response to a customer complaint. I handled a few of these; I always started by going to the director of customer service and having her look up the account history for me. I wanted to know if the customer had contacted us by phone or email, how we had responded, and the current status of their return.
This company was going through tremendous growing pains, but was making a good-faith effort to get all tax returns completed on time (or the proper extensions filed). Once we were over the hump of tax season, we had plans in place to make major changes to our customer service model. It was a great place to work, and an exciting time to be there. To date, this was my most favorite job. |
